How do I become a Resident?

The residents at William Blake House are young adults with learning disabilities. We offer accommodation and activities where the residents can live, learn and work with others in healthy social relationships based on mutual care and respect. We are inspired by the ideals of Rudolf Steiner, based on the acceptance of the spiritual uniqueness of each human being, regardless of disability or religious or racial background.

William Blake House provide excellent accommodation and facilities. Comfortable and modern, our homes are maintained to the highest standards and this helps ensure our residents feel settled and relaxed in no time at all. All residents have their own private room and share general facilities such as bathrooms and kitchens. The homes are spacious with attractive gardens. Located in pleasant villages in the Northamptonshire countryside we are close to the historic town of Towcester.

You will be responsible for a range of activities to support and nurture our residents as well as play a full part in the growth and development of the William Blake House community.

Meal times together

Volunteers and residents take their meals together in the houses. Some of the residents, with the help of volunteers, will have helped with growing the produce, cooking the meal or perhaps just laying the tables. The meal times can become a focus of social contact, conversation and appreciation of what each one has to offer.
